“Last semester, I had the opportunity to learn and advocate for WEALL, which proved to be an interesting opportunity to learn about a completely separate type of economy from our current neoliberal capitalist system. It deepened my understanding of alternative economic models that prioritized people and the planet over just profit. Civil society activism, I realized, is absolutely crucial for driving the same systemic change that WEALL pushes for. The activism empowers people and communities to advocate for policies that prioritize human and planetary wellbeing over profit, fostering more equitable, sustainable economies through collaboration and collective action.”
